Albert Fouqet, the son of a Parisian aristocrat, created perfumes for private use in the family château together with their butler. Soon Fouquet's fragrances became the talk of the town, but it was only when his paths crossed with a young American student, John F. Kennedy, that demand began to take off in earnest. The name "Eight & Bob" comes from JFK's order request: "Eight samples, and if your production allows, another one for Bob”.
